TOUR OF LIAHONA CAMPUS—where we work and live!
Inspired purposes brought about the establishment of Liahona High School Campus.  Elder LeGrande Richards offered the dedicatory prayer here on December 1, 1953, 59 years ago!  Please read this excerpt from this inspired and prophetic prayer.

He prayed the Lord would provide “proper teachers who will not only teach them the words of books but who’ll be able to plant in their hearts a desire to serve Thee, the Lord, and to keep Thy commandments and to live their lives that they may become a light unto the world and an ensign unto the nations that others seeing their good works may be led to glorify Thee, the Lord.”

This school gives young men and young women the opportunity to learn and go forth to be a “light unto the world.”  Right now it’s summer break, which started right after the grand celebration of graduation which happened the first week we were here—pictures will follow.  Enjoy this picture tour of campus and the area where we live on campus.  Go to Google Earth – Tonga, and you’ll find an aerial view of Liahona campus near the center of the Island, south of Nuku’Alofa, Tonga.

As you face the campus our little duplex home is the end house closest to the temple.  Looking out our living room window our view is a large green lawn area with beautiful orange blooms on the o’kai trees and we can see Angel Moroni on the temple over the palm trees at the left.  The view is one of my favorite things about where we live!  Also, not far from our back door is a banana tree and some pineapple plants growing on the lawn.
